The Atelier
A private wardrobing experience in Brooklyn.
The Atelier is The Collection's private practice of dress—a place to discover, commission, transform, and collect clothing with meaning over time.
Clients come to us for one-of-one commissions, heirloom transformations, and seasonal designs from the house. Every experience is guided by our atelier, from the first conversation through fitting, material, construction, and final form.
You don't need to know exactly what you want when you arrive. That's part of the process.
Private Commissions
A Private Commission is our fully custom design experience.
Beginning with a blank page, we create an original garment specifically for you—designed to your measurements, personal style, and the occasion or life it is being made for.
The experience includes original design development, sketches, material sourcing, a custom pattern and prototype, and a series of private fittings in The Parlour as the final garment is created and refined.
Private Commissions may include bridal, evening wear, tailoring, and other one-of-one pieces crafted around your most important moments.
Private commissions begin at $10,000.
Typical timeline: 6–14 months.
The Seasonal Collection
Begin with one of ours.
Our made-to-measure experience begins with an existing design from The Collection. Choose from our seasonal offering, and the atelier will create the piece to your measurements with select opportunities to personalize fabric, color, proportion, and finishing details.
Unlike a Private Commission, the original design is already established—allowing you to enter the world of The Collection through a piece designed by the house and made specifically for you.
Our Seasonal Collection begins at $5,000.

Heirloom Redesign
Begin with something of yours.
Our redesign experience begins with an existing garment—a wedding dress, family heirloom, vintage piece, or something from your own wardrobe. Our atelier transforms it into something you can wear again.
Rather than starting over, we work with what already exists. The atelier develops a new design around the original garment, considering what should be preserved, removed, reconstructed, or reimagined. The process may include design development, deconstruction, reconstruction, fittings, and new materials as needed.
Redesign Comissions begin at $2,500.

Wardrobe Appointment
Begin with curiosity.
A private 75-minute appointment in The Parlour to explore current and archival designs, try on pieces, discover fabrics and materials, and speak with the atelier about your wardrobe and what we might create together.
You may leave with a direction for a made-to-measure piece, a Private Commission, an Heirloom Redesign—or simply a better understanding of what is possible through The Atelier.
